[Bookplate for Parker] Black ink on cream paper. Within a thin, single-line border sits a lancet arch with a coat of arms at the top. Floating above the coat of arms is a Western-style miter. Within the arch, the name of the reading room and details on the specific book loan is printed. 42. [Bookplate for R. W. Urwin by Diocese of Durham] At the top of this bookplate, above the text, is the arms of the bishopric of Durham. The escutcheon is azure (blue), and contains an or (gold) cross patonce. Each quadrant of the cross contains a lion rampant. On top of the shield is a bishop's mitre. As the Bishops of Durham were formerly princes of the Palatinate of Durham, this mitre has the unique distinction of also including a ducal coronet which provides for greater heraldic distinction. The bookplate is in letterpress with handwritten inserts. 43. [Bookplate for Robert Wilson Reford] Bookplate executed in black ink on white paper and consists of text and a simple border. 44. [Bookplate for Victoria University] Black ink on tan paper. Victoria University coat of arms and motto at top. Text covers rest of page. 45. [Bookplate for W.H. Smith & Son] Printed in black ink on purple paper, this textual bookplate is framed by a single-lined border in which a circled design is place in each corner. Affixed by a paper clip to the top right corner is a square, white stamp printed in black ink. Its text is: Finsbury London / Institution, Circus. E. 642 21 days. 46. [Bookplate for William Brophy] In black ink on white or cream paper, the bookplate consists of an architectural, Egyptian-themed border with lotus flowers all around, a Sphinx in the lower right, and Egyptian wall art in the lower left. Below the school name and above the location is a monogram made of the letters CSV.
